Grapho-psychological Expertise
30/03/2011 13:10The grapho-psychological expert carries out investigation on the handwriting with regard to the mental or emotional state of a subject, an in the forensic environment this can be applied in different fields:
- IN CASES OF DEATH: In some cases doubt of a signature or handwriting does not exist although those family members or close friends negatively affected by documentation of the deceased feel or know that the deceased was not in a stable mental state and was therefore not in possession of all faculties when executing such documentation. It is becoming increasingly frequent that the elderly change their wills at the last moment or sign a document, and after their death, a neurologist is obviously unable carry out a study and arrive at a determination with regard to the mental state of the deceased. However, it is still possible to substantiate in what situation the deceased was in during the time of signing of documentation in question through the use of grapho-psychological techniques.
- IN CASES OF MATRIMONIAL SEPARATION, when a judicial tribunal must decide which of the parents is the most appropriate for parental custody. If one knows that his/her partner is not in sufficient mental or emotional condition to have custody of the children, then he/she can appeal for the services of a graph psychologist to analyse the personality and possible problematic areas of their partner. This report can be submitted as documental evidence to the tribunal.
We are grapho-psychologists who specialise in the study of personality and in particular, the mental state of a subject through the study of his/her handwriting.
